Glassblowing intrigues me, so I seek out glassblowers wherever I visit. Asheville has a large artist community, so finding top-notch glassblowers was not hard. After finishing the tour of the Biltmore, we headed to Lexington Glassworks.
At Lexington, the resident glassblowers create one of a kind glass blown pieces and custom lighting pieces. There are no glass blowing classes at Lexington, just five dedicated, skilled glass blowers and two shop assistants creating beautifully inspired glass. Read >

Join us for a festive evening of music, local beer and a pop-up glass show featuring regional glass artists displaying their artistry in stained, cast and fused glass.
Along with customary glassblowing, join us for lively music by local gypsy-jazz band, HotPoint Trio. Grab a pint from New Belgium Brewing and enjoy viewing this ONE-NIGHT pop-up show with artists Bethany Berres, Xander D’Ambrosio, Tanya Franklin, Robert Gardner, Ben Greene-Colonnese, Alicia Kelemen, and Deb Williams.

This event is a part of the 1st Friday Art Walk in the Downtown Asheville Art District, Summer of Glass and our monthly Glassworks Concert Series. This event is free and open to the public.
