Lexington Glassworks, located in downtown Asheville, is the area’s Premier Glassblowing Studio and Gallery. Lexington Glassworks is 5,000 sq. ft. working studio that features high quality custom lighting and handmade glass.
Lexington Glassworks is recognized by AVL ARTS for removing affordability barriers for emerging artists through providing housing for Resident Assistants in their program. This article explores how providing housing makes the Assistantship program more accessible and helps inject talent and creativity back into the community in different ways.
